The trip is complete

It actually has been for about a week now, but I’ve been fairly busy catching up on work, things around the house and finishing the photos from the trip. In addition to the rest of the series in Minnesota between the Twins and A’s I saw games in Philadelphia (Phillies/Braves), Pittsburgh (Pirates/Cardinals) and Detroit (Tigers/Royals) as well, spending less than 24 hours in each city. By the time things were all said and done I was dragging.

All three of those ballparks are rather nice, but PNC Park in particular has been and still is one of the best places around. There’s so much about it that’s perfect, and the location across the Allegheny from downtown Pittsburgh and the bridges just behind the stadium couldn’t be any better. Now they need a team that’s actually worth watching again.

Comerica Park has tigers everywhere.  I love it.

Everything’s here: 2010 Major League Baseball

There are also some random shots from a couple stops here.  I had lunch at Chappell’s Restaurant and Museum in North Kansas City and the place is filled with old memorabilia. Of course, a primary focus is Kansas City so the Royals and Chiefs are well-represented, but there’s also a good deal of Kansas City A’s stuff. In Minneapolis, I took some shots of the skyscrapers downtown because I liked the mix of new, modern places with a few of the older buildings around.
